What happens next?
What if my child does not get allocated a place?
It can be difficult and upsetting if your child does not receive an offer from their school of choice. If your child has applied for a place at St Augustine of Canterbury and is unsuccessful, you will have the opportunity to appeal the decision. Further details of this process can found below:
Appeals
If you would like to appeal your allocation of a secondary school please visit the Archdiocese website for more information. There is a link below, under ‘Admissions Information’.
Appeals at the Archdiocese for normal year of entry (Year 7) for admission in September 2027 usually adhere to the following timetable (please note this is correct at time of publication but may be subject to change):
Offer date: 1st March 2027
Appeals to be lodged by: 1st April 2027
Appeals to be heard: 18th June 2027
Appeals received after these dates for normal year of admissions in September 2027 will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline where possible, or soon thereafter.
Our next Open Evening is on Thursday 17th September, from 4.30pm until 6.30pm.
