Thank you for your interest in Year 7 admission to St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy. Applications for September 2026 will close on 31st October 2025.
If you need to make a late application, please follow the steps below.
I missed the deadline – what do I do? (Links for this information can be found at the bottom of this page)
You will need to submit a late application via the St Helens Council website.
You will need to complete our supplementary faith application form which should be returned with a copy of baptismal certificate, holy communion certificate or letter from an appropriate Faith Leader.
This form needs to be returned to Year 7 Admissions. It can be emailed to staugustine@staugustine.sjcmat.co.uk or a printed version can be handed in to school reception.
Further information can be found in the documents on the left-hand side of this page. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01744 678112.
What happens next?
Councils will send out offers of school places on Monday 2nd March 2026 – also known as ‘National Offer Day’ for September 2026. Offers will be received via email or you can check your child’s offer status by logging in to the online portal you completed the LEA Application form.
St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy will send you a formal letter to confirm this offer and welcome your child to our school within 7 days of receiving the offer from your local council.
You will then need to confirm you accept their place. The letter we send you will include full details of how to do this and the deadline date for acceptance.
Once you have confirmed your child’s place, they will be invited to attend a series of events and activities to support their transition from Primary to Secondary school. Parents will also be invited to attend an information event prior to their child starting in September and have the opportunity to speak with staff and ask questions.
What if my child does not get allocated a place?
It can be difficult and upsetting if your child does not receive an offer from their school of choice. If your child has applied for a place at St Augustine of Canterbury and is unsuccessful, you will have the opportunity to appeal the decision. further details of this process can found below:
