Behaviour and Rewards
At St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy we expect all pupils to arrive at school on time and ready to learn every day. We expect pupils to demonstrate our Core Values of Aspiration, Belief and Compassion, and to be a positive member of our school community.
Our Mission Statement of “In Faith We Grow” is rooted in the gospel values of love, wisdom, integrity, justice and compassion and teachings of Jesus Christ.
We support pupils by:
- Having a culture of high expectations and traditional values
- Striving to support every child achieving their full academic potential
- Developing our students to be responsible, mature and confident young people
- Having a welcoming and inclusive community
We encourage parents and carers to help pupils by supporting our school behaviour policies and having high expectations for their attainment and progress.
Pupils are expected to demonstrate calm behaviour by:
- Walking sensibly around school
- Using a quiet voice
- Listening to staff and following instructions
- Being polite and courteous
The following routines will help support pupils in their behaviour:

- Wearing the correct school uniform
- Bringing the correct equipment for each lesson
- Switching off any electronic devices on school premises
Pupils that regularly demonstrate positive learning behaviours will be rewarded through:
- Achievement points
